Project Opportunity: Access to Washington's Colleges'

“I'm the first in my family to attend college, something I was never sure I'd be able to do because of the finances—I received federal aid and many PLU scholarships and grants, making my tuition much less than that of a state university.”

Financial Aid Offices Forms and Dates

  • Submit the FAFSA and financial aid forms before February 1st
  • Do not hesitate to contact Financial Aid offices if you have questions
  • Participate in College Goal Sunday for hand-on help in completing the FAFSA

The most important thing to remember, if you want to get a good financial aid offer, is to submit your completed FAFSA to the colleges you're applying to by the stated deadline. If you do not submit the FAFSA by then you may still be admitted, but the chances of you receiving the financial aid you might need are diminished. Contact your college's financial aid offices (linked below) to make sure that you have everything in order. Also, don't forget to look for other forms of aid. Read more about these on the Paying for College page. There are also several sites you can use to search for scholarships. You can also learn about specific scholarships on the ICW website.
